  PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE: Ensure accurate and timely payment of employee’s salaries and other benefits. Ensure all contractor salary payments are as per contract. Ensure all statutory compliances are adhered to pertaining to Wages, Retirement benefits, Welfare payments and interact with Govt. machinery pertaining to the same. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employee Salary and other payments • Ensure 100% accuracy pertaining to salary processing & distributing the same within targeted dates. Maintain documentation of pay slips • Check overtime and ensure OT and Shift allowance payments along with salary • Ensure the accurate issue of form 16 to employees within due dates as per Income Tax Act & file form 24 within due dates as per Income Tax Act. • Ensure accurate computation and payment of Bonus / Ex-Gratia / Any other payment due to employee • Checking and payment of vouchers due to employees e.g. Medical, LTA, Vehicle Usage, Other expenses e.g Reimbursement for own vehicle usage • Consistently review the payroll work and implement the computerized payroll system. Ensure the payments are budgeted releasing the same. • Ensure all retrial benefits payments and welfare payments to be made to employee • Maintain database and registers of all salary details and statutory compliance details. Interact with the govt. officials for the same. • Ensure that all statutory deductions, filing of returns and deposits are timely and accurately done • Ensure Full and Final settlement of employees to be computed, checked and payment to be made with record of payment accepted by them. Details of acceptance to be then submitted to HR for filing in employee file • Handle all activities pertaining to loan facilities and Superannuation scheme if the organisation starts with these schemes • Handle all activities pertaining to salaries / payments to be made to employees • Ensure that all contractor payments are as per the contract • Ensure that contractor adheres to all statutory compliances pertaining to wage administration of his contract staff • Any other tasks as assigned by the management
